from the desk of the Managing Editor
Thanks to all of our readers and contributors for the support that made our first issue a success! Submissions for issue 2 are now open! We have a new team and will be updating our
masthead soon. We look forward to
reading all of your submissions and
can not wait to bring you a new
edition of Hive Avenue!
We hope everyone is enjoying the inaugural issue of Hive Avenue and all of the wonderful pieces from our contributors! I would like to invite all of our local supporters to attend the Hive Avenue launch party in the NWACC library, Burns Hall 1304, Thursday, October 31st at 3pm. There will be readings by NWACC students and faculty as well as contributors from Hive Avenue Issue 1. We look forward to seeing everyone who is able to attend!
We are LIVE! The inaugural issue of Hive Avenue is officially live via the HiveAvenue.com home page and through the Archive link. Thank you to all who have made this issue possible be it as a contributor, advisor or reader. We appreciate the support and are excited about the finished product. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we worked through the delays and challenges of a new publication. We are happy to be off of the ground and look forward to opening up for a new round of submission soon.
Thank you all! Enjoy Issue 1!
Thank you both readers and contributors for your patience and understanding as we dealt with staff exits/changes that delayed our publishing. Unfortunately due to miscommunications and changes in faculty with the educational institution that we are under we are having to
pull the first issue until further notice. I want to personally
apologize for the confusion and premature publishing of
the journal. It was an attempted to publish the journal in a timely
manner to best respect our writers and their work. All contributors that have
been accepted for publication will be notified of changes and
when the publication date has been passed down to the remaining
Hive Avenue staff. Please contact me with any questions via my email: or @HiveAvenue on twitter. I will do my best to respond quickly and hopefully with positive news. Again, my sincerest apologies.
Thank you both readers and contributors for your patience and understanding as we dealt with staff changes that delayed our publishing. The inaugural issue of Hive Avenue: a literary journal is officially LIVE! This has been a pleasure to complete and we hope our readers enjoy the work of our writers. To all of our writers, thank you for entrusting
us with your work and we hope to read more from you
in the future.
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful submissions! We are currently in the final stages of production for our first issue. Submissions for the Fall academic semester will be opening soon. Thank you again for sharing all of this great work and we look forward to the release of our first issue!
